Dragon Riding Sequences – House Of The Dragons BTS

MrMoco Rentals partnered with HBO and PIXOMONDO for Season 2 of House Of The Dragon, focusing on planning, preparing, and executing dragon riding sequences. Extensive pre-production involved close collaboration with PIXOMONDO during pre-vis and tech-vis stages to develop a plan for realistic dragon movements. Leveraging our expertise in 3D Workflow, we used Simul8 for complex motion control manoeuvres on over 100 buck shots. Our BOLT-X system, mounted on a movable container, captured dynamic camera movements against the moving buck to create an effect where the camera perspective simulates riding on the back of another dragon.
